TrapSTAR Reveals Tracklisting for "Trapping 4 Beatz 3"

TrapSTAR has taken a small hiatus from the SC Music scene for 2011 & most of 2010. But if you know TrapSTAR, then you know he's been working in that studio. Well he's ready to unleash a gang of new material for the Extragrind supporters and followers out there. We got a chance to check in with him while in the Extragrind Studio and talk about his upcoming project.

So TrapSTAR we know its been a minute, what has been the holdup with the music?

TS: Well actually it was just me taking a step back to re-evaluate everything and see where I stood. I knew after the SDM separation that I was at a musical crossroads. I knew I was going to start my own label and just try and march to the beat of my own drum.

So you took a break from music?

TS: Initially I did, I reverted back to what I knew which was the streets. I had to get back together financially. Music costs a lot, and the studio was a main cost. So we invested in our own setup and now we eliminated that debit from our monthly expenditures. So I just took the time to decide on my roster for Extragrind Nation and just start working from there.

OK so that means you've got to have a gang of music recorded.

TS: Yeah I've got the music stockpiled for sure.

So tell us what can we expect from "TFB3"?

TS: For those who've been rocking with me, they know that the "TFB" aka "Trapping For Beatz" is a series I started to rap over instrumentals and give my supporters what they wanna hear. A lot of these cats ain't snapping on these hot beats and even the ones who are, they inspire me to hop on the beat and see where it takes my mind. So nothing has changed, I'm just snapping harder than the last and that will be the trend.

I thought there was talks on this very same blog that you weren't going to put out a new "TFB"

TS: Yeah after all the public backlash upon beat jacking, I was mulling over quitting the series all together. Then I seen the footage from the release party for "TFB2" and how we packed Club Cream out on a Friday, which at the time wasn't even doing a Friday night. And I posed the question on Twitter and folks told me to keep rocking, so I'ma stick with it. Opinions are like A-holes we all have one and your entitled to yours. So if you rock with it then lets rock if not, hope I catch ya on the flipside.
